Review: Banana Pudding Sippin Cream

Banana Pudding Sippin Cream will be released May 22.  We usually don’t receive a new product this early but in times like this its great to have something to look forward to.  The Sippin Cream line of spirits was launched November 2016 by Sugarlands Distilling Company.  The current product line includes Butter Pecan, Dark Chocolate Coffee, Eggnog, Electric Orange, Pumpkin Spice Latte, and Strawberry Dream.  Banana Pudding Sippin Cream is made in Gatlinburg Tennessee where the Sugarlands Distillery first opened March 2014.  It is made with rum, cream liqueur, and natural flavors and bottled at 40 proof.  The aroma is banana pudding, vanilla, and cream.  Additional time in the glass brings out Nilla Wafer notes.  The sweet banana custard entry is joined by vanilla, cinnamon, and graham cracker building to a banana pudding, sweet rum, Nilla Wafer, and whipped cream peak.  It fades with dairy cream, and Banana Laffy Taffy.  The finish brings a mild sting with brown sugar, rum, banana pudding, Nilla Wafer and whipped cream taste.  I have always been a big fan of banana pudding and while I like the flavor of Nilla Wafers I don’t like soggy cookies.  That said Banana Pudding Sippin Cream provides all the flavor of real southern banana pudding with a splash of rum, and without the mushy cookie mouth feel.
