Review: Stumpys Unbroken Peach Vodka
Stumpys Unbroken Peach Vodka is crafted at Stumpys Spirits Distillery in Columbia Illinois. Adam and his wife Laura Stumpf opened their distillery July 18, 2015. Adam rents the 10 acres the distillery sits on from his father and uncle who manage the family farm. He also rents 50 acres of land around the distillery for crafting his spirits, farming it entirely by himself when possible. The Stumpys Unbroken Vodka base is made from 100% family grown corn on their 8th generation farm, and fresh limestone well water, also sourced from their farm. Once distilled the spirit is filtered through a custom blend of activated carbon. The vodka is then infused with fresh tree-ripened peaches from Eckerts Orchards in neighboring Belleville Illinois. Review: Grey Goose Essences White Peach & Rosemary
Grey Goose Essences White Peach & Rosemary is one of three flavors in the new Grey Goose Essence product line. The other varieties include Strawberry & Lemongrass and Watermelon & Basil. Every couple of months a new brand releases their own 0 sugar botanical blend of infused vodka. Next month Belvedere will be releasing their Organic Infusions Vodka which will consist of Pear & Ginger, Lemon & Basil, and Blackberry & Lemongrass. Grey Goose Essences starts with the Grey Goose vodka base made from soft winter wheat and pristine spring water filtered through Champaign limestone in the Cognac region of France. Review: Enchanted Rock Peach Vodka
Enchanted Rock Peach Vodka was introduced in 2014. It is made at the Rebecca Creek Distillery that was founded in 2009 by Steve Ison. Enchanted Rock is named for the large pink granite rock that shares its name, and is a National Landmark that covers 640 acres in Fredericksburg Texas. ER Peach is crafted from 100% corn and distilled in a Christian Carl copper pot still. From there the spirits enter in vapor form under pressure into a modern 6 plate copper column still where the spirit is distilled 10 times. The flavor is then rounded out using a proprietary 28 degree frost filtration process. The temperature is first reduced to 28 degrees and then the chilled vodka is passed under pressure through 25 microfiber paper filters. Pure limestone filtered water is blended to reduce to proof. Fresh peach juice from Fredericksburg Texas grown peaches is infused with the vodka base before bottling at 70 proof. Read more
Review: Western Son Hill Country Peach Vodka
Western Son Hill Country Peach Vodka is one of six flavored vodkas they craft in Pilot Point Texas. The other flavors include Ruby Red Grapefruit, Piney Woods Blueberry, South Texas Prickly Pear, South Plains Cucumber, and Apricot. 40% of the peaches grown in the state of Texas are grown in the Hill Country. This 25 county region of central and southern Texas stretches from the Northern suburbs of San Antonio ending southwest of Austin. The vodka base is made from American corn and water filtered through reverse osmosis. After 10 distillations through a 20 foot column still, the vodka is quadruple filtered. Burnetts Peach Vodka was introduced in 2006. Burnetts Vodka was launched in 1991 and they released their first flavored vodka in 2000. Today they have 37 flavored vodkas. Burnetts Peach Vodka is produced from 100% grain in Bardstown Kentucky at the Heaven Hill Distillery. The vodka base is quadruple distilled and triple charcoal filtered. Deep Eddy Peach Vodka was just launched nationwide. It is one of five flavored vodkas they craft in Austin Texas. The other flavors include Sweet Tea, Ruby Red, Cranberry, and Lemon. They also produce a Straight vodka. While this is the first new Deep Eddy flavor since Heaven Hill Brands acquired the brand August 2015, Deep Eddy founders, Clayton Christopher, and Chad Auler developed and signed off on this flavor. Deep Eddy Peach starts with their straight vodka as a base. This vodka is hand crafted with sweet corn and spring water from deep aquifers in Texas Hill Country. It is column distilled ten times in a 20 foot column still and slowly filtered six times over charcoal. All natural flavors including juice from real peaches is blended with the vodka before bottling at 70 proof. Read more
Review: Belvedere Peach Nectar Vodka
Belvedere Peach Nectar Vodka was just released. It is one of six flavored vodkas they currently create in Poland. The other five flavors include Citrus, Pink Grapefruit, Mango Passion, Lemon Tea, and Wild Berry. Belvedere Peach Nectar is crafted with Dankowski rye and pure water. The water is sourced from their own wells and it undergoes an 11 step purification process that includes reverse osmosis. The vodka is distilled four times and filtered twice, first through carbon and then a finer mechanical filtration process. Fresh peaches and apricots are gently soaked for up to five weeks. The flavors and aromas are extracted in a proprietary maceration process. These essential oils are then blended with the vodka. No sugar or artificial flavor is added before bottling at 80 proof. Ivanabitch Peach vodka is one of 14 vodka flavors they create in Holland. After recently sampling and enjoying their Cherry flavored vodka I thought I would try another flavor.
