Review: Hard Truth Cinnamon Vodka

Hard Truth Cinnamon Vodka is one of over 20 spirits crafted in Nashville Indiana in a state of the art 18,000 square foot distillery surrounded by 325 acres of native forest, they opened in 2017.  Cinnamon is native to Sri Lanka.  It is sourced from the inner bark of several tree species.  There are four main types of cinnamon.  Hard Truth does not publish details as to which cinnamon type they use in crafting their cinnamon vodka.  The vodka base is made from 100% wheat and is distilled on a Vendome Copper & Brass distilling system.  It is infused with two natural sources of cinnamon and lightly sweetened with pure cane sugar.  Caramel color is added before bottling at 60 proof. Review: Sobieski Cynamon Vodka

sobieski cynamon vodka - CopySobieski Cynamon vodka was introduced in 2011 along with their Espresso, and Bizon Grass flavors.  It is one of twelve vodka varieties made in Stargard Odanski Poland under the Sobieski label for the US market.  While cinnamon flavored whiskey is hot with Fireball Cinnamon Whisky leading the way, there are several cinnamon flavored vodkas.  These vodkas can be grouped in two categories, sweet and hot cinnamon.  Cynamon falls in the hot category along with Pinnacle’s Atomic Hot, and Burnett’s  Hot Cinnamon.  Sobieski is the number one selling vodka in Poland.  Cynamon is made with Dankowski rye and crystalline water from Oligocene Springs.  They use a continuous distillation process before natural flavors are added. Review: Pinnacle Atomic Hot Vodka

Pinnacle atomic hot - CopyPinnacle Atomic Hot vodka was introduced in 2011 and it was originally named Atomic Hots.  This was about the same time Fireball Cinnamon Whiskey started building a following, and before Peligroso and Jose Cuevo introduced their cinnamon flavored tequilas.  It was created to taste like the Atomic Fireballs from our youth.  I was more of a Hot Tamale guy myself but I did like them better than Red Hots.  Atomic Hot is one of 40 flavors made by Pinnacle with pure French spring water and wheat.  It is distilled five times before it is shipped to Frankfort Kentucky where it is naturally flavored and bottled at 35% alcohol.  Read more »

Review: Pinnacle Cinnabon Vodka

Pinnacle Cinnamon Roll - CopyPinnacle Cinnabon vodka is the newest flavor introduced by Beam under their Pinnacle banner.  It is made with vodka imported from France and bottled with imitation flavor in Frankfort Kentucky.  The adhesive label on their trademark blue bottle features a cinnamon roll that looks more like one I baked from a tube, than one I purchased at a mall.    With over 70 different Cinnabon products, and 40 different Pinnacle Vodka flavors already available, it was only a matter of time before the two joined forces.  After rejecting the first 14 cinnamon roll flavored vodka combinations, Pinnacle finally created one good enough to include the Cinnabon name.
