Review: Heeet Hot Cinnamon Vodka
Heeet Hot Cinnamon Vodka was the first product made by MerryGo Spirits which was founded in 2016 by entrepreneur Marc Goldberg. It is distilled and bottled by Citrus Distillers in Riviera Beach Florida. The vodka base is small batch distilled six times in 250 gallon batches and carbon filtered. Natural flavors are infused before bottling at 68 proof.The aroma is cinnamon red hot candy with what appears to be a corn based vodka backing. The entry features all of the flavor of Hot Tamales cinnamon candy without being oversweet. As a kid I was a big fan of Hot Tamales Cinnamon candy, and not so much a fan of the hot cinnamon flavored Red Hots candy. While the flavors were similar I preferred the flavor of Hot Tamales. That’s what I get here. I especially liked how the heat would build with each Hot Tamales candy I chewed. The same can be said about HEEET Hot Cinnamon Vodka. While there is subtle vodka flavor on the back end what I taste I really like. The only heat I feel appears to come from the natural cinnamon flavor. This is a very smooth vodka. While Heeet Hot Cinnamon Vodka may be priced a little higher than some of the discount cinnamon vodkas on the market today, the premium vodka used in crafting Heeet shows through in the finished product. Heeet Hot Cinnamon Vodka is a great alternative to Fireball Cinnamon Whiskey for shots, and it will mix well in cocktails. I think I like it best serve on the rocks.
