Review: Heritage Vanilla Vodka

Heritage Vanilla Vodka is one of 22 naturally flavored vodkas released October 31 2014 by Heritage Distilling Company when they opened their waterfront location in downtown Gig Harbor Washington.  While most craft distilleries are satisfied creating 1-4 spirits, a quick glance at the Heritage website shows the nearly 40 spirits they have created since their distillery first opened 4 years ago.  Heritage Vanilla is small batch distilled from wine grapes.  Natural flavors are blended with the vodka base before bottling at 60 proof. Review: Heritage Huckleberry Vodka

Heritage Huckleberry Vodka is one of 23 naturally flavored vodkas crafted at the Heritage Distilling Company in Gig Harbor Washington.  This is the fourth Huckleberry flavored vodka I’m aware of.  Koenig, 360, and 44 North previously released their Huckleberry vodka.  Huckleberries grow on shrubs and are in the Ericaceae family that also includes the blueberry and cranberry.  While Huckleberries take on several different colors including blue and black, those grown in the western portion of North America are typically red.  Heritage Huckleberry is small batch distilled from wine grapes.  Natural flavors are then blended before bottling at 60 proof.  Read more »

Review: Heritage Coffee Vodka

heritage-coffee-vodka-imageHeritage Coffee Vodka is one of 23 naturally flavored vodkas crafted at their distillery in Gig Harbor Washington.  With Starbucks based in nearby Seattle Washington, it should come as no surprise that Heritage Coffee Vodka is their best selling flavored vodka.  65% of Americans drink coffee at breakfast, and the US spends $40 each year on coffee.  I guess the only thing surprising should be that this is my first coffee flavored vodka review.  I have reviewed several Espresso flavored vodkas.  The vodka base for Heritage Coffee is small batch distilled from wine grapes in an Italian made still named Nonna.  Natural flavors are then blended before bottling at 60 proof. Review: Heritage Mango Vodka

Heritage Mango Vodka is one of 23 flavored vodkas crafted at the Heritage Distilling Company in Gig Harbor Washington.  They also produce several unflavored vodka’s, along with several gins, and whiskeys.  This is a distillery I have tracked for some time, but their distribution is limited to the West Coast, so I have not been able to pick up a bottle to review.  I was very happy to see their full spirit line is now available for purchase direct from Heritage Distilling.  Heritage Mango Vodka is small batch distilled with a vodka base made from wine grapes, and then blended with natural flavors and bottled at 60 proof at their distillery in Gig Harbor Washington.
