Review: Malibu Peaches N Cream Rum

Malibu Peaches and Cream - CopyMalibu Peaches N Cream rum will soon be hitting store shelves.  I was lucky enough to get my hands on a bottle a little early.  It is one of 14 flavored rums they create with their Original Coconut rum as a base.  Malibu starts with molasses from the finest sugarcane crops and it is distilled three times at the West Indies distillery in Barbados.  Natural coconut flavored liqueur and peach and cream flavors are blended before bottling in Canada at 42 proof. Review: Malibu Peach Sparkler

Malibu peach sparkler - CopyMalibu Peach Sparkler was introduced February 2014 along with their Rum Sparkler.  It is made with Caribbean rum, coconut water, and natural peach and coconut flavor.  Carbonation is then infused before bottling at 22 proof.  Because of the carbonation this is a bottle that should be finished in one evening, or sealed with a wine stopper.  You are not getting that cork back in the bottle, I tried. Review: Bacardi Peach Red Rum

bacardi red peach - CopyBacardi Peach Red rum was introduced in 2007.  It is one of 15 flavored rums they make in Puerto Rico.  Bacardi has been distilling rum since 1852, and flavored rum since 1995 when they introduced their Limon flavor.  Peach Red takes the sweet nectar from California Freestone peaches and infuses it with their rum before bottling at 35% alcohol. Review: Cruzan Peach Rum

Cruzan peach rum - CopyCruzan Peach rum was introduced in March of 2014.  It is the industries second peach flavored rum following Bacardi’s Peach Red.  Several peach flavored vodka’s were launched last year and this may signal the start of a run on peach flavored rum.  Peach is one of 14 flavored rums Cruzan creates in St Croix with Tropical rainwater and high quality molasses using a five column distillation process.  Natural peach flavor is then added.
