Review: Crown Valley Blackberry Vodka
Crown Valley Blackberry Vodka was introduced in 2013. It is one of four vodkas crafted in small batches from grapes grown on their estate. The other flavors include Pink Lemonade, Pumpkin Cheesecake, and their original unflavored. The vodka is distilled in a custom stainless steel still, and cold filtered. Stoli Blakberi vodka was introduced April 2008. This is my last post for 2014 and it seems like a good time to say goodbye to this vodka as I also say goodbye to 2014. While I’ve seen no formal announcement, Blakberi no longer appears on the Stoli website and I rarely see it on store shelves, so if you are interested I’d grab a bottle sooner rather than later. It is distilled six times and multi filtered. Devotion has teamed up with Allen Flavors, the makers of Arizona Iced Tea to develop an essence process along with natural flavor compounds to ensure no additional sugars or sweeteners are needed. Pinnacle Blackberry vodka was introduced in 2012 and it is one of over 40 vodka flavors Beam Suntory creates under their Pinnacle label. It is made with pure French spring water and wheat and it is distilled five times before it is shipped to Frankfort Kentucky. Once there it is naturally flavored and bottled at 35% alcohol. Pinnacle was not the first to create a blackberry flavored vodka, but with Blakberi no longer appearing on the Stoli web site your only other blackberry flavored vodka option is Seagram’s. Read more
