Review: Brilliant Vodka
Brilliant Vodka is crafted at Lifted Spirits in Kansas City Missouri. Michael Stuckey opened the distillery December 2016 in a building originally used as a stable for the Smith Brothers Steam Bakery. The distillery located in the Crossroads neighborhood of Kansas City also makes 3 gins, a rye, and absinthe. Brilliant Vodka is made from soft white organic wheat and reverse osmosis water. A precisely selected filtration process follows before bottling. The aroma leads with fresh milled wheat. Additional time brings out lemon. The sweet citrus entry has orange and lemon notes building to a lemon raspberry peak. It fades with lemon pastry and finishes milky with white pepper, raspberry sherbet, and whole orange.
