Skyy Coconut - CopySkyy Infusions Coconut vodka was introduced in April 2012.  It is made with wheat and distilled in Pekin Illinois.  They then transport the alcohol to San Jose where water that has been filtered through reverse osmosis is added.  They quadruple distill and triple filter before adding natural coconut flavor and bottle at 35% alcohol.In the bottle the aroma is coconut.  The coconut scent I associate with sun tan lotion or shampoo.  Poured in my glass I also pick up some alcohol.  The initial flavor is coconut followed by some sweet vanilla.  The vodka is present in both the medium mouth warming and also in the finish.  The fade is a little bitter with some coconut but more vodka flavor on the dry finish.  This is a vodka that showed good potential on the entry but the finish was a little unbalanced.  I would serve Skyy Coconut in a cocktail to take advantage of the coconut and vanilla flavor and also soften the finish.
