Review: Point Mango Lager

by Jeff Ellingson

Point Mango Lager - CopyPoint Mango Lager is one of four beers in their Long Days series of beers.  It is crafted with two row malted barley, Mt. Hood hops and natural flavors.  The other flavors include Tart Cherry Lager, Lime Lager, and Watermelon Mojito Lager.  The Stevens Point Brewery brews 35 beers on a year round, or seasonal basis, and I’m sure more will follow. It pours to a pale golden color with a medium white head.  The light beer aroma has a mango backing.  The light lager taste is very refreshing.  Subtle mango flavor arrives on the fade before a creamy malty finish.  Like the previously reviewed Tart Cherry Lager, the fruit flavor is natural but not very prominent.
