Review: Blind Squirrel Peanut Butter Banana Whiskey
Blind Squirrel Peanut Butter Banana Whiskey was recently released joining Blind Squirrel Peanut Butter, BS Peanut Butter & Jelly, and BS Chocolate Peanut Butter Pretzel. All are made by Universal Brands in Princeton Minnesota from a Canadian whiskey base. Natural flavors and caramel color are blended before bottling at 70 proof. Like Elvis I am also a fan of the banana peanut butter flavor combination so I’m looking forward to giving this a try. The aroma leads with ripe banana and creamy peanut butter. The brown sugar and ripe banana entry has a syrupy mouth feel building to a peanut butter banana taffy peak. It fades with creamy peanut butter, and dehydrated banana chip, and finishes with butterscotch, a young whiskey sting, simple syrup, bittersweet citrus, Butterfinger candy center, and oak.
