Smirnoff Sorbet Light Summer Strawberry will be introduced later this month. I was lucky enough to get my hands on a bottle a little early. It is one of six reduced calorie vodka flavors in their Sorbet Light line. I will be reviewing their other new flavor tomorrow. They start with their Recipe 21 vodka which is made with American grain that is triple distilled and filtered ten times before all natural flavors are infused. It is bottled at 30% alcohol with 78 calories per 1.5 Oz. serving.
The aroma is sweet fresh sliced strawberry with a hint of grape. The flavor is fresh strawberry building to a strawberry grape bubblegum peak before fading with a mild mouth warming and a hint of vodka flavor on the finish. Additional sips bring out a light creaminess. While the flavor is sweet I would not call it over sweet. Summer Strawberry is smooth and tasty enough to drink on the rocks or enjoy in your favorite cocktail.
