Malibu Tropical Banana rum was introduced in 2008. It is one of 13 flavored rums they create at the West Indies Distillery in Barbados. The rum starts with molasses from the finest sugarcane. Malibu is distilled three times before natural flavors are added and it is bottled in Canada.
The aroma is fresh smashed banana. The flavor is Laffy Taffy banana building to a banana rum peak with a hint of coconut before fading with unripe banana and finishing with a mild rum burn on the back of my throat. This is a very tasty rum that mixes well with others.
