Review: FrappaChata Iced Coffee

FrappaChata Iced Coffee was recently released for sale in Illinois, Wisconsin, and Minnesota.  National distribution will soon follow.  It is made from a blend of RumChata and dark roast coffee.  RumChata is a blend of five times distilled Caribbean rum, Wisconsin dairy cream, and cinnamon, with natural and artificial flavors.  FrappaChata Iced Coffee is currently available in 1.75 liter and 100ml mini sample bottles.It pours to a chocolate milk color.  The aroma is cinnamon, vanilla, and coffee with a light rum backing.  The cinnamon horchata entry has creamy flavor with a thin mouth feel.  Coffee flavor arrives at the midpoint building to a tasty mocha rum peak that continues through a smooth creamy fade that include bright vanilla cinnamon flavor.  Comparing FrappaChata to RumChata, I find Rumchata to be thicker and creamier with more alcohol presence, but less rum taste than FrappaChata.  That said while I find FrappaChata a little thin for a cream liqueur, and I would have preferred more of a fresh coffee burst of flavor, there is no arguing FrappaChata Iced coffee has a very addictive taste.
