The High Noon Challenge

by Jeff Ellingson

The High Noon Challenge is not a drinking competition, nor is it as painful as the Paqui One Chip Challenge.  The High Noon Challenge is a fun way to sample all 13 High Noon Hard Seltzers without feeling like you just drink 13 cans of hard seltzer.  For those unfamiliar with High Noon it’s best described as a Real Vodka + Real Juice Hard Seltzer.  The High Noon Challenge is an event to be shared with family and friends.  This event is best enjoyed in groups of 4-12.  To join the fun, pick up one four flavor 8 can variety pack of High Noon Tropical, one High Noon Tailgate variety pack, one High Noon Pool Variety Pack, and one pack of 3 ounce Solo cups.  If you can’t find Solo cups, Dixie cups will work but it always seems more fun drinking from a Solo cup.  High Noon does make a 13th flavor.  High Noon Lemon is sold in an individual flavor 4 can pack.  For extra credit pick up one 4 can pack of High Noon Lemon.    The High Noon Challenge consists of drinking one, 2-3 ounce cup of each High Noon flavor.  This is the equivalent of 2-3 12 ounce cans of High Noon.  At 4.5% alcohol this is equivalent of 2-3 light beers.  There is no time requirement, just have fun.  There are two ways to enjoy the challenge.  One, let everyone know what flavor they are about to taste, and have everyone rank the High Noon flavors from 1-12.  The second way requires one person to act as administrator and pour each cup in a separate room so no one can see the flavor sampled.  Then let everyone guess what flavor they are drinking.  The administrator should also participate in the tasting, and this may be the most fun role.  The guesses can be very funny.  As you are drinking a cup of High Noon Mango that clearly tastes like Mango, some people may be guessing pineapple.  I’ve heard people guess apple for pineapple and dragon fruit for passion fruit.  High Noon doesn’t make an apple or dragon fruit flavor.  When someone from the group shouts out an incorrect guess you would also be surprised how easily the group can be influenced in thinking that guess is correct.  Share with me and our audience the craziest guesses you have heard, and also share with us any changes to the High Noon Challenge you have tried that worked.  Also for those who took the time to rank the High Noon flavors send me your list.  I enjoyed all 13 High Noon flavors but my rankings of High Noon Hard Seltzer are as follows.

  1. Peach

  6. Mango
