Review: Whisper Creek Tennessee Sipping Cream

by Jeff Ellingson

Whisper Creek Tennessee Sipping Cream - CopyWhisper Creek Tennessee Sipping Cream was introduced in September 2012.  It is made with Tennessee whiskey, fresh dairy cream, and all natural flavors in West Nashville Tennessee by Jeff and Jenny Pennington with the help of Nashville Chef Deb Paquette.  It is bottled at 19.95% alcohol in a brown moonshine style jug.In the bottle the aroma is whiskey, cream, vanilla and caramel.  It pours to a milky caramel color.  The flavor starts with a creamy vanilla taste, and is followed by the sour mash whiskey with a medium warming and spicy finish.  With additional sips I pick up some notes of banana.  I would describe the feel as more milky than creamy and while the whisky flavor is the dominant flavor, there is a lot going on here.
