Trader Joe’s Cold Brew Coffee & Cream Liqueur is made for Trader Joe’s by Universal Brands in Princeton Minnesota.  Cold Brew coffee flavor has been popping up in a lot of spirits lately.  Jamesons blends it with their whiskey, Tia Maria with rum, and Carolans with Irish Cream, and whiskey.  TJ”S Cold Brew Coffee and Cream is made from a 100% neutral grain spirit base.  My first thought was there must be other brands of cold brew coffee and cream liqueur on the market today but the only one that comes to mind is Granita Cold Brew Coffee & Cream.  Mr. Black is a straight cold brew coffee liqueur and Starbucks discontinued Starbucks Coffee and Cream.  It pours to a chocolate milk color.  The aroma leads with fresh brewed coffee bean and cream.  Additional time brings out an alcohol backing.  The sweetened and well creamed cold brew coffee entry is joined by milk chocolate building to a milky cold brew coffee peak.  It fades with sugary sweetness and finishes with sweetened cold brew coffee, cream, and mocha flavor.  The finish leaves grain spirit taste and a mild alcohol burn.  Trader Joe’s Cold Brew Coffee & Cream has a nice burst of fresh cold brewed coffee taste.  Some of the other Cold Brew flavored spirits come off a little watery.  The cream taste is natural but a little thin when compared to other cream liqueurs.
