Review: Three Olives S’Mores Vodka

Three Olives S’mores vodka is one of those flavors that you either can’t wait to try, or may only try on a dare.  It was launched July of 2012 and it is Distilled in England with English Winter wheat and water from Lake Vyrnmy in Wales.  They quadruple distill and triple filter through charcoal before it is flavored in Lawrenceburg Indiana.  They claim to capture the true taste of chocolate marshmallow and graham cracker in the form of vodka.While Three Olives produce several vodkas with the flavor in your face and easy to identify, this is not one of them.  Having the bottle in front of me with a product description helps in identifying the flavors here.  In the bottle the aroma is wet graham cracker, chocolate and a hint of peanuts.  The flavor starts out chocolate with a subtle taste of marshmallow followed by vodka fading to a graham cracker finish.  While the flavor is not as sweet as I anticipated it is also not the S’more flavor I expected.  As a shot or served straight it goes down easy, as a mixer I feel the flavor may be lost.
