It is one of 35 vodka flavors they currently create with their Recipe 21 vodka as a base. Recipe 21 is made with Midwest grown grain. It is triple distilled and filtered ten times. Natural flavors including ruby red grapefruit is infused before bottling at 70 proof.The aroma is fresh squeezed grapefruit. The flavor enters with a lightly sweetened grapefruit and builds to a tart grapefruit peak. There is a mild mouth warming before a long zesty grapefruit finish. Smirnoff’s Recipe 21 vodka has a distinctive taste that often appears at the finish of their flavored vodka’s, sometimes distracting me from enjoying the initial flavor. That is not the case here. Smirnoff Ruby Red is a very flavorful vodka that will not disappoint.
