Review: High Noon Tequila Seltzer Fiesta Pack

by Jeff Ellingson

High Noon has added a second tequila seltzer variety pack.  The High Noon Tequila Seltzer Fiesta 8 Pack joins High Noon’s Original Tequila Seltzer 8 Pack.  The Original pack included 2 cans each of Grapefruit, Lime, Strawberry, and Passion Fruit.  Their new Fiesta pack features 2 cans each of Grapefruit, Lime, and two new flavors Blood Orange, and Prickly Pear.  While I’m happy to see a couple of new flavor options, I’m a little disappointed they couldn’t develop 4 new flavors for this mix pack.  Each 12 ounce can weighs in with 100 calories and 4.5% alcohol, and is made with real blanco tequila distilled at Destileria Leyros, real fruit juice, sparkling water, and natural flavors.

High Noon Lime Tequila Seltzer:  The aroma leads with agave and sliced lime.  The sweet and tart lime entry is joined by agave building to a ranch water peak.  There is real blanco tequila flavor, not just agave syrup or agave flavor.  While there is no substitute for a well made Ranch Water cocktail High Noon has done a good job crafting a tequila seltzer with a similar flavor profile.

Grade: A

High Noon Grapefruit Tequila Seltzer:  The aroma leads with fresh squeezed grapefruit.  Additional time brings out vanilla and agave.  The sweet grapefruit entry builds to a tart grapefruit and agave peak.  It fades with creamy tequila and juicy grapefruit and finishes with tangy grapefruit, blanco tequila, and grapefruit zest.

Grade: A

High Noon Blood Orange Tequila Seltzer:  The aroma leads with fresh peeled blood orange.  Addition time brings out vanilla and agave.  The sweet blood orange entry is joined by agave building to a tart blood orange and creamy blanco tequila peak.  It fades with saline and juicy blood orange sherbet and finishes with blanco tequila and sour blood orange.

Grade: A-

High Noon Prickly Pear Tequila Seltzer:  The aroma leads with ripe pear and redberry.  Additional time brings out apple and agave.  The sweet strawberry entry builds to a tart kiwi peak.  It fades with watermelon and finishes with tart prickly pear, bubble gum, vanilla, and creamy blanco tequila taste.  High Noon Prickly Pear has less tequila flavor than the other 5 High Noon Tequila Seltzers but I can honestly say I’ve never enjoyed a prickly pear flavor more.
