Very little product information is available about Dempsey’s but it is imported by County Line Distillers, a division of Sazerac. The aroma is whiskey, cream, and cocoa. Additional time in the glass brings out notes of coffee, toffee, and butter pecan. The chocolate, whipped cream, marshmallow, and sweet whiskey entry is joined by caramel and cocoa, building to a thick chocolate malt peak. It fades with runny caramel, anise, bittersweet chocolate, and heavy cream. The finish brings caramel macchiato, a healthy dose of whiskey warmth and flavor, leaving salted caramel, coffee, and cream taste. Dempsey’s may be the thickest Irish Cream Liqueur I’ve tasted and I’ve tasted quite a few. Dempsey’s also has more Irish Whiskey flavor than most of the other Irish Cream Liqueurs.
