Review: Cutwater Vodka Soda Mixed Pack

Cutwater Vodka Soda is made from Cutwater Spirits award winning vodka base that was six times distilled from corn and filtered 15 times.  Each 12 ounce slim can is made with 1 shot of their vodka and naturally flavored soda water.  It is sold in a 3 flavor 8 can mixed pack with 2 cans of Watermelon, 2 cans of Lime, and 4 cans of Grapefruit.  They also sell a Cucumber flavor in an individual flavor 4 pack.  Each 12 ounce can weighs in with 99 calories 5% alcohol, 0 sugar, and 0 carbs.  Cutwater has become a leader in selling canned cocktails as they also craft Tequila canned cocktails, Vodka canned cocktails, Rum canned cocktails, Whiskey and Gin canned cocktails.

Cutwater Lime Vodka Soda:  The aroma leads with fresh sliced lime with a corn vodka backing.  The natural lime juice entry is joined by corn vodka building to a foamy vodka lime peak.  It fades with creamy lime soda water and tasty vodka leaving tart lime taste.

Cutwater Watermelon Vodka Soda:  The aroma leads with Jolly Rancher Watermelon.  The watermelon entry is sweet but it does not have the traditional Jolly Rancher Watermelon taste most watermelon flavored spirits have.  Banana notes arrive at the midpoint building to a foamy watermelon peak.  It fades with corn vodka and creamy soda water leaving natural watermelon, lime and carbon seltzer taste.

Cutwater Grapefruit Vodka Soda:  The aroma leads with fresh peeled ruby red grapefruit.  The sweet grapefruit entry builds to a juicy ruby red grapefruit peak.  It fades with foamy seltzer, tasty corn vodka, and bright fresh grapefruit taste.  It fades with creamy sparkling water, corn vodka, and natural grapefruit taste leaving subtle carbon seltzer taste.

The Bottom Line:  With Hard Seltzers getting sweeter and sweeter its good to see someone is still offering a 100 calorie 5% alcohol sparkling water beverage for the adult audience.  I also enjoyed the vodka that added flavor without heat or burn.
