Review: Copper Still Peanut Butter Flavored Whisky

by Jeff Ellingson

Copper Still Peanut Butter Flavored Whisky is crafted in Lake Havasu City Arizona by Owner and Head Distiller Andy Andersen and Copper Still Distillery.  It is made from their corn and cane whisky base.  The distillery was established 2018 and they currently produce several flavored whisky’s including Pecan, Root Beer, Chocolate, Cherry, Peach, and Lemonade all from their Hava Shine corn and cane whisky base.  The distillery also crafts a potato vodka and two flavored vodkas, jalapeno, and cucumber.  The nose leads with caramel corn and chocolate.  Peanut butter and jelly follows.  The sweet caramel, cane sugar, and grape entry is joined by creamy peanut butter and cocoa building to a Snickers Bar peak.  It fades with peanut butter, grape jelly, and caramel and finishes with sweet whisky and notes of caramel, grape, cocoa, and oak.  Bottled at 85 proof Copper Still Peanut Butter Flavored Whisky finishes dangerously smooth.  Owner and Head Distiller Andy Andersen has crafted a very tasty peanut butter whiskey that actually has some whiskey flavor instead of just sugary peanut butter liqueur taste.
