The distillery is located at the Roseau Sugar Factory in the Roseau Valley on the Islands largest banana plantation. Bounty Coconut is made from the Bounty White Rum base. The white rum base is a blend of double column distilled rums from Guyanese molasses. The rum is aged in ex-bourbon casks for 2 years. The wood colors are filtered after blending. Coconut extracts and sugars are macerated with the rum. The rum is brought down to 50 proof with pure distilled water and sugar. The aroma is vanilla and coconut cake. Additional time in the glass brings out toasted coconut with floral and lavender notes. The coconut frosted vanilla cupcake entry is both creamy and sweet. Vanilla and toasted coconut arrive building to a macaroon peak. It fades with molasses, oak, and coconut gelato flavor. The finish is smooth with minimal warmth, a gentle rum tingle, and coconut syrup taste.
