Blackheart Spiced Rum - CopyBlackheart Premium Spiced Rum was introduced in 2010.  It is made with Caribbean rum, with spice, caramel, and other natural flavors added.  It is bottled in Bardstown Kentucky at 93 proof by the Heavan Hills Distillery.  The rum is named for the sultry siren of the high seas pictured on the bottles label.It pours to a golden copper color.  The aroma is vanilla, Play-dou, cherry, and spice.  The light caramel, cherry, and high octane rum entry is joined by vanilla, building to a vanilla cinnamon spice peak.  It fades with a hot peppery sting that leaves a burn in my mouth and throat, and a bitter cherry, caramel, and spice aftertaste.  Blackheart feels all of 93 proof and should only be served, mixed in a cocktail.
