Review: Balls Vodka

Balls vodka image - CopyBalls vodka was launched in 2011.  It is crafted with gluten-free, non GMO corn that is four times distilled in the Midwest.  The product is shipped to Rochester New York where pure water is added before bottling at 80 proof.  While some vodka’s hope to reel you in with their fancy bottles, or exotic ingredients, Balls Vodka targets 21-29 year old men, with it’s name and marketing campaign. The aroma is corn and alcohol.  The vodka enters with creamy corn flavor.  Vanilla arrives before a starchy corn peak.  It fades with a pinch of pepper and black licorice before a slightly charcoal  tasting finish.  In the end, Balls vodka is certainly tasty enough to mix in a cocktail but not quite smooth enough to drink on the rocks.

Balls to the Wall

2 Oz. Balls Vodka

1.5 Oz. Fresh Squeezed Lime Juice

1 Tsp. Sugar

3 Oz. Club Soda
Serve on the Rocks

Garnish with a Maraschino Cherry

Made in Rochester with vodka distilled in the Midwest

40% Alcohol
