Review: Absolut Grapevine

by Jeff Ellingson

Absolut Grapevine VodkaAbsoult Grapevine was introduced in 2011 and at that time it was called Absolut San Francisco.  In 2012 it was reintroduced as Absolut Grapevine.  It is made in Ahus Sweden using winter wheat and deep well water along with the natural flavors of white grape, dragon fruit, and papaya.  No sugar is added and it is bottled at 40% alcohol which is a little higher than most flavored vodkas. In the bottle the aroma is grape followed by a mix of the three fruit flavors.  The flavor starts with grape followed by papaya and maybe a hint of dragon fruit.  The finish is strong and dry and while the flavor is not unpleasant this is one vodka I will enjoy more mixed.
