Review: Revel Stoke Pumpkin Spiced Whisky

Revel Stoke Pumpkin Spice Whisky Image - CopyRevel Stoke Pumpkin Spiced Whisky was just introduced.  It is one of five whisky’s made by Phillips Distillers at a distillery in Alberta Canada.  The other flavors include their original Canadian Whisky, Spiced, Cinnamon, and Pecan flavored.  Revel Stoke is named after the mountain ski resort town in British Columbia.  Revel Stoke Pumpkin Spiced is made with a blend of rye, corn, and barley malt that is triple distilled in copper stills.  The whisky is aged for three years in charred white oak barrels.  Natural pumpkin spice flavors are then infused before bottling at 70 proof. Review: Jim Beam Apple

Jim Beam Apple image - CopyJim Beam Apple was just released in the US, after it was successfully launched in Europe a couple of months ago.  It is made with corn, rye, barley malt, and limestone filtered water, that feeds into a 10,000 gallon cooker.  Once cooked the mash heads to the fermenter tank where a 75 year old yeast strain is added.  It is then distilled twice in a 35 foot tall column still and then aged for at least four years in brand new charred American oak barrels.  Apple liqueur is then infused before bottling at 70 proof.
