Review: Mummy’s Milk Hard Seltzer

Mummy’s Milk Hard Seltzer was just introduced.  It was released by Denver Underwear Company Shinesty.  While some may point to this as proof hard seltzer has finally jumped the shark, I would argue that happened years ago.  Shinesty partnered with Eliqs Brew Company to produce this Halloween themed hard seltzer.   I would describe Shinesty as a fun loving underwear company.  As proof their underwear comes with a promise of a “truly hair-raising experience unless you’ve recently waxed”.  While their underwear is novelty in nature, their quality is premium.  Getting back to the hard seltzer, it is sold in 12 packs through the Shinesty website.  The flavors include Frankenstein’s Monster-Lime, Jack O’Liquid-Mango, and Ghost Spit-Black Cherry.  Each can has a fun explanation of how it was produced.  In crafting Frankenstein’s Monster the brewmaster scoured cemeteries for the freshest products, then added a whole bunch of lime to balance the rotting flesh taste.  Mummy’s Milk Hard Seltzer is “Best Served Colder Than a Witches Tit”. Review: Truly Tropical With Real Fruit Juice Mix Pack

The Truly Tropical mix pack is now made with real fruit juice.  While real fruit juice always tastes better than natural flavors, real fruit in hard seltzer often translates to an over sweet hard seltzer.  So while I’m excited Truly has added real fruit juice to their line of hard seltzers, tasting, like seeing, is believing.  Truly is made with filtered water, alcohol from cane sugar, natural flavors, and flavor specific fruit juice from concentrate. Review: Bud Light Seltzer Classic Variety Pack

Bud Light Seltzer recently introduced their Classic Variety Pack.  If you didn’t notice it may be because the six other Bud Light Seltzer Variety packs and the dozens of other hard seltzer variety packs now found at your local liquor store distracted you.  AB introduced the world to their hard seltzer January 2020 and while they were a little late to the hard seltzer party they have done their best to make up for lost time.  After launched two standard hard seltzer mix packs they created a higher alcohol hard seltzer variety pack, a couple of canned cocktail hard seltzer packs, Lemonade seltzer, seasonal seltzers, hard soda seltzer, and most recently an apple flavored hard seltzer variety pack.  The Bud Light Seltzer Classic Variety Pack brings them back to the future.  All of the Bud Light Seltzer’s are made with water, cold fermented cane sugar, natural flavors, cane sugar, and malted rice weighing in with 100 calories, 5% alcohol, 1 gram of sugar and 2 carbs. Review: Ashland Hard Seltzer Ice Cream Variety Pack

Ashland Hard Seltzer’s newest 4 flavor 12 can variety pack is an Ice Cream inspired Variety pack.  Sonic makes slush inspired and 4 Hand’s makes snow cone inspired hard seltzers so ice cream inspired seems like a logical next step.  Besides Ashland previously released The Bellinger Bomb, a bomb pop inspired hard seltzer.  Ashland is available in California and Arizona and it is also sold by some online retailers if you don’t feel any hard seltzer is worth a cross country road trip.  Ashland was founded by Josh Landon with a celebrity group including Country Music singer Chris Lane, NFL quarterback Jerod Goff, LA Dodger Cody Bellinger and a handful of sports and social media celebrities.  Josh Landon also founded Saint Archer Brewing Company and sold it to MillerCoors two years later.  Once the non compete expired he founded Harland Brewing Company.  Each 12 ounce can of Ashland Hard Seltzer is made from a fermented sugar base with alkaline carbonated water, and organic fruit essence. Review: Bud Light Seltzer Apple Slices Variety Pack

Bud Light Seltzer Apple Slices was just released.  It is a four flavor 12 can variety pack.  This can best be described as an apple flavored hard seltzer variety pack.  While there have been hard seltzer lemonades, hard seltzer punch, hard seltzer margarita’s, hard seltzer soda’s, hard seltzer watermelon, and hard seltzer iced tea variety packs this is the first Apple flavored hard seltzer variety pack.  Last fall at this time Bud Light released Bud Light Fall Flannel Variety pack, with flavors including Apple Crisp, Maple Pear, Pumpkin Spice, and Toasted Marshmallow.  Anheuser Busch has been very aggressive creating hard seltzers but a look at their website shows they no longer are making Bud Light Hard Seltzer Lemonade, Iced Tea, Ugly Sweater, and they have also dropped one of their original flavor variety packs.  Each 12 ounce slim can of Bud Light Seltzer Apple Slices weighs in with 100 calories 5% alcohol, 3 carbs, and 1 gram of sugar.  They are made with water, cold fermented cane sugar, natural flavor, liquid cane sugar, sucralose, malted rice, and fruit juice for color. Review: Truly Citrus With Real Fruit Juice Mix Pack

The Truly brand was one of the first hard seltzers on the market and they continue to be the second most popular hard seltzer based on sales.  They currently produce 34 different seltzer varieties including 8 mixed packs and 2 Harder Seltzer flavors.  The Truly mix packs include three original four flavor 12 can mix pack, a hard lemonade, punch, margarita style, cocktail style, and hard iced tea four flavor mix pack.  They also produce 2 Truly Extra 8% alcohol Selzer flavors.  Being the second best selling hard seltzer brand and producing 34 different varieties wasn’t enough for Boston Beer Works as they once again reformulated their Original Truly Hard Seltzer flavors to now include real fruit juice.  We have already given our thoughts on the new Truly Berry mix pack and next week we will move on to Truly Tropical but for now lets look at Truly Citrus. Review: High Noon Tailgate Pack

Just in time for the start of the NFL season High Noon Spirits has released their new Tailgate Pack.  This is the third 4 flavor, 8 can variety pack this vodka based hard seltzer brand has released.  The others include their Tropical and Pool Pack.  The High Noon Tailgate and Pool Packs are Limited Time Only Releases but that may have more to do with the packs name than the flavors.  The new Tailgate Pack includes two new flavors Pear, and Cranberry.  The other flavors are Black Cherry and Grapefruit.  With these two new flavors High Noon now offers 13 in total.  Only High Noon Lemon is not included in a High Noon Mix Pack.  All 13 are made from a real 5X distilled vodka base, sparkling water, and real juice. Review: Dos Equis Ranch Water Variety Pack

Dos Equis Ranch Water was launched June 2021.  It is now available in a four flavor 12 can variety pack.  While most think of Dos Equis as a Mexican Beer, few know Dos Equis began when Wilhelm Hasse a German immigrant arrived in Mexico where he founded Moctezuma Brewery in Veracruz.  He first brewed Siglo XX in 1897.  Dos Equis Amber Especial is brewed the same way, only the name has changed.  In addition to Dos Equis Amber and Dos Equis Lager beer, Dos Equis also brews Dos Equis Lime & Salt and three flavored lagers.  Each 12 ounce can of Dos Equis Ranch Water is made from a sugar alcohol base with natural flavors and weigh in with 100 calories and 4.5% alcohol.
