Review: Captain Morgan Original Spiced Rum
Captain Morgan Original Spiced Rum was first produced in 1944 by the Seagram Company. It was introduced in 1984 in the US, and is now owned by Diageo. Captain Morgan had been produced in Puerto Rico, but it 2012, production was moved to St. Croix. Captain Morgan is now the number two selling spirit brand in the US, only trailing Diageo stable mate Smirnoff Vodka. It is made with Caribbean sugar cane molasses, and it is distilled in a continuous still and aged for 1 year in oak barrels. A Proprietary blend of Caribbean spice is added before bottling at 70 proof. Read more 
Review: Captain Morgan Cannon Blast
Captain Morgan Cannon Blast was just introduced. This brings the current Captain Morgan family of products up to 9. There have been many more limited release products, and I’m sure there will be more to follow. Cannon Ball is described on their cannon ball shaped bottles label, as an intensely delicious shot. This description, plus an ingredient list that starts with Captain Morgan rum, and includes a unique spice blend of Caribbean Citrus, with chipotle and jalapeno pepper, positions the product to compete with the cinnamon whiskeys, lead by Fireball. Review: Captain Morgan White Rum
Captain Morgan White rum was introduced February 2014. After creating a dozen or more spiced rum options, Captain Morgan takes aim at the white rum market leader, Bacardi. Could this have something to do with Barcardi’s 2011 launch of Oak Heart Spiced rum? It is made in St. Croix with sugarcane molasses and it is distilled five times. Captain Morgan Coconut rum was just launched along with a pineapple and grapefruit flavor. This should not be confused with their Parrot Bay line of 42 proof flavored rums. This line of flavored rums weigh in at 70 proof and they use their Captain Morgan White rum as a base. It is crafted in St. Croix with fine cane molasses and it is distilled 5 times and aged for over 1 year in oak barrels.
