Review: Three Olives Watermelon vodka

Three Olives Watermelon vodka was introduced in 2006.  It is shown here with their newly designed bottle.  It is made with vodka distilled in England with English winter wheat and water from Lake Vyrnmy in Wales.  It is quadruple distilled and triple filtered through charcoal.  Imitation flavor is added in Lawrenceburg Indiana where it is bottled at 35% alcohol.  While watermelon is a summer time favorite enjoyed throughout the US, 70% of all watermelon grown worldwide comes from China.In the bottle the aroma is watermelon and roses.  In my glass the scent is more perfume than watermelon.  The flavor starts out sweet, then transitions to violet.  Additional sips bring out what may be described generously as a hint of watermelon but violet leads the way.  The vodka is harsh and the finish is very dry and bitter.  I do like their new bottle, but I would prefer more of a watermelon flavor.
