Their first vanilla was dropped several years ago, about the same time Grey Goose stopped production of their vanilla flavor. Skyy vodka is made with wheat and distilled in Pekin Illinois. They then transport the alcohol to San Jose California where water that has been filtered through reverse osmosis is added. They quadruple distill and triple filter before infusing with vanilla bean and natural flavors.The aroma is vanilla with a hint of alcohol. The initial vanilla flavor is joined by a smooth soft caramel and pastry mix. The finish is lightly spiced with a gentle fade. There is only mild heat and no vodka flavor or burn. While maybe not your traditional vanilla flavored vodka, Skyy Infusions Vanilla Bean vodka approaches the desert flavored vodka line without going over it.
