Pearl Wedding Cake - CopyPearl Wedding Cake vodka was introduced in September 2011.  It was the ninth of 17 flavors St Louis based Luxco creates under the Pearl name.  Crafted in micro batches using pure water from Canadian Rocky Mountain streams and soft Canadian winter wheat.  It is distilled five times then filtered to perfection.  It is then infused with natural and artificial flavors and bottled at 35% alcohol.In the bottle the aroma is vanilla and almond.  Poured in my glass the almond mixes with a cake batter scent.  The initial flavor is vanilla cake.  Almond joins the party before a full mouth warming from the vodka.  As the heat fades I pick up some sweet vanilla frosting before an almond cake finish.  If you can take the heat the flavor is good.  For those who prefer a milder flavor try an Irish Wedding which combines equal parts of Wedding Cake vodka and Irish Cream Liqueur with a splash of half and half. Another option is a Chocolate Banana Cake which combines equal parts Wedding Cake vodka with milk and a splash of Crème de Banana and chocolate syrup.
