Review: Greenbar Tru Lemon Vodka

by Jeff Ellingson

Greenbar Tru Lemon Vodka is crafted from a vodka base made from organic wheat and distilled in a continuous column still at the Greenbar Distillery in Los Angeles California.  After a gentle charcoal filtration, 2000 hand-zested Eureka Lemons are infused in every small batch.  That’s right only three ingredients are used, organic wheat, organic Eureka Lemons, and pure water filtered through reverse osmosis.  Eureka lemons are a variety of Citrus Limon that was developed in California in 1958.The aroma is a blend of fresh citrus with lemon peel, lime zest, and orange flesh all present.  The lemon pastry entry has a soft mouth feel, building to a bright lemon sorbet and orange sherbet peak.  It fades with lemon drop and fresh dairy cream taste.  The finish is warm with lemon peel and spearmint taste.  Greenbar Tru Lemon Vodka delivers real lemon taste without adding additional flavors or  sweetening with corn syrup.
