Review: Ciroc French Vanilla

by Jeff Ellingson

Ciroc French Vanilla Vodka was just released.  This is Ciroc’s eighth flavored vodka.  Since 2007 Sean Diddy Combs has handled marketing and promotion of the Ciroc brand.  In February, DJ Khaled and French Montana became Brand Ambassadors of Ciroc Vodka.  Ciroc French Vanilla is French Montana’s first Ciroc flavor release.  Ciroc French Vanilla is made with vodka distilled five times from fine French grapes in the Charente-Maritime Region of France.  The spirit is infused with natural flavors, and a distinctive blend of vanilla flavors from multiple sources including Madagascar vanilla.  The aroma is vanilla cupcake.  The vanilla cake entry builds to a creamy vanilla bean ice cream peak.  The silky smooth fade has southing warmth.  It finishes with a mild tingle and Madagascar Vanilla flavor, backed by whole wine grape from the Ciroc Vodka base.  Ciroc French Vanilla may sound like an over sweetened flavored vodka, but by infusing their premium vodka base with a distinctive blend of vanilla and natural flavors, they have crafted a vodka that will mix well in cocktails, but it may taste best served over ice.
