Captain Morgan Parrot Bay Coconut rum was introduced in 1995.  It is one of seven rum flavors they create with white rum from St. Croix.  Natural coconut flavor is added before they bottle at 21% alcohol.  They also make a 90 proof coconut rum.

The aroma is vanilla, coconut, rum, and angelfood cake.  The flavor is sweet coconut cupcke with vanilla frosting building to a coconut rum peak before fading with a mild burn as it slides down my throat.  Additional sips bring out a hint of tangy pineapple as the rum flavor peaks and carries through the finish.
