Review: Blue Chair Bay Key Lime Rum Cream

Blue Chair Bay Key Lime Rum Cream was recently released.  I have been checking liquor stores shelves for weeks since I first heard of it’s existence.  It is one of eight rum varieties Kenny Chesney has in his Blue Chair Bay product line.  I have enjoyed all of them so far.  Key Lime Rum Cream starts with a white rum base, distilled and aged in oak barrels at the West Indies Rum distillery in Barbados.  The rum is shipped to Rochester New York where real cream, key lime, and other natural flavors are blended before bottling at 30 proof.It pours to a milky white color.  The aroma is lime sherbet with a graham cracker backing.  The creamy lime ice cream entry has a soft fluffy mouth feel.  The flavor builds to bright key lime peak.  It fades with genuine graham cracker crusted key lime pie taste, not that fake key lime pie topped with meringue, but the real thing, topped with whipped cream.  It finishes with gentle warmth and sweet lime rum flavor.  If you don’t like the taste of key lime pie, stay away, because the flavor of Blue Chair Bay Key Lime Rum Cream is spot on.

Key Lime Colada

1 Oz. Blue Chair Bay Key Lime Rum Cream

.5 Oz. Blue Chair Bay Coconut Rum

1 Oz. Pineapple Juice

1 Oz. Orange Juice

1 Oz. Cream of Coconut

1 Cup Ice

Place all Ingredients in a Blender

Pour in Glass

Garnish With a Lime Slice and Cherry

Made in Rochester New York With Rum Distilled in Barbados

15% Alcohol

Score: 92

Award: Gold Medal
