Review: Tequila Volteo Cristalino

Tequila Volteo Cristalino joins Blanco and Reposado in the Tequila Volteo lineup.  Dallas Cowboys Quarterback Dak Prescott partnered with Zamora Company to found the brand.  It is distilled at Destileria Casa de Piedra.  Four other tequila brands are distilled there including Chamucos, Cobalto, Terraneo, and Zurdo.  Tequila Volteo Cristalino is made from 100% organic agave grown in the Lowlands in the heart of San Martin de Hidalgo.  The agave is harvested when the pinas weigh between 33-44 pounds.  The pinas are cooked in a stone brick oven.  The juice is roller mill extracted then fermented without fibers in stainless steel vats while classical music plays.  The spirit is double distilled in steel pot stills.  The tequila then rests for 3 months in French oak wine barrels before it is filtered to produce a clear tequila.
