Review: Tequila Ocho Plata 2024 Mirandillas

Tequila Ocho Plata 2024 Mirandillas is the sixth is our series of six Tequila Ocho Plata reviews.  Named after the small town it resides in, Rancho Mirandillas sits at 5,200 feet above sea level making it the lowest altitude field ever used for Tequila Ocho production.  Its terroir is flat with small stones and a deep gray clay soil.  The area is mainly used for growing corn and sorghum.  It was the first time in 50 years agave was planted on this field.  The harvest yielded 2,200 tons of agave with an average weight of 78 pounds and a sugar content of almost 31%.
