Review: Cascahuin Plata 48 Tequila
Cascahuin Plata 48 Tequila is distilled at Tequila Cascahuin in El Arenal Jalisco Mexico, a 4th Generation family-owned distillery founded in 1904 by Salvador Rosales Briseno. The current distillery was built in 1955. They currently produce tequila for 17 brands including Wild Common, Montagave, Loco, Lagrimas Del Valle, and Artenum Seleccion de 1123. Cascahuin Plata 48 is made from 100% weber blue agave grown in the tequila valley and natural spring water. The agave is cooked in stone brick ovens. During fermentation each batch flows between cement or stainless vats covered with bagasse. The spirit is distilled in a stainless steel still with copper coil followed by a second distillation in a copper still. The tequila is bottled unfiltered or diluted at 96 proof. Read more
