Review: Ten to One Caribbean Dark Rum

by Jeff Ellingson

Ten to One Rum is named for the original Caribbean Federation which consisted of ten countries.  Trinidad born Marc-Kwesi Farrell founded the company in 2019.  Singer Songwriter Ciara joined the company as an Investor Co-Owner October 2021.  Ten to One Caribbean Dark Rum is made from a blend of 8 year old Barbados & Dominican column still rums combined with high ester Jamaican pot still rum & Trinidadian rum aged in American white oak bourbon barrels.  The aroma leads with caramel apple, spice, oak, orange citrus, and banana peel.  Additional time brings out toasted oak, cinnamon, and pineapple.  The sweet cinnamon, vanilla, and baked apple entry builds to a tropical fruit peak.  It fades with vanilla, orange, and warm banana and finishes semi-dry with oak, caramel, white pepper, toasted coconut, and pineapple.

Made with rum distilled in Barbados, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, & Trinadad
