Review: Nobleza 33 Tequila Blanco
Nobleza 33 Tequila Blanco was crafted by Fourth Generation Master Tequilero Felipe Camarena at his family distillery, El Pandillo. The 100% Weber Blue Agave is grown in the Highland Region. Once hand selected and trimmed the pinas are split and evenly placed in a masonry oven to apply a constant flow of steam. The temperature is maintained at 94 C for 22 to 24 hours. The juice released during the first 4 hours is discarded. Once complete the agave rests for 24 hours before a 8.5 ton mechanical tahona known as Frankenstein extracts the juice. 95% of the juice is fermented without fiber, 5% with. The spirit is double distilled in 100% copper stills, oxygenated, and proofed with deep well water. The aroma leads with cooked agave, lime, vanilla, and mint. Additional time brings out herbal and orange sherbet. The sweet agave entry is joined by bell pepper building to an herbal, minty orange peak. It fades with fruit and finishes with mineral, lime, and black pepper.
