UV Apple Vodka was introduced in 2008. It is one of 22 vodka varieties UV creates with Midwest grown yellow corn and purified water from deep aquifers in Princeton Minnesota. It is distilled four times and then filtered with activated carbon. Natural flavors including Granny Smith apple are blended before bottling at 60 proof.It pours to a bright green color. The aroma is candy sweet apple. The very sweet apple flavor, builds to a very tart/sour apple peak. There is very little heat but there is a slight burn as I swallow. It fades with a hint of cinnamon and finishes with a flavor more closely resembling natural apple taste. UV Apple has more of an apple liqueur flavor to it, than an apple flavored vodka taste. This will make it a better mixer, than a vodka you would sip on the rocks.
