Review: Karbach Brewing Ranch Water Hard Seltzer
Karbach Brewing Company launched their Ranch Water Hard Seltzer January 2021 in Texas. They have since expanded distribution. The Karbach Brewing Company was founded in 2011 by Eric Warner, the former Brewmaster and CEO of Flying Dog, and industry veterans Chuck Robertson, and Ken Goodman. The brewery was named for its location on Karbach Street in Houston’s Spring Branch neighborhood. They were acquired by Anheuser-Busch in 2016. The brewery crafts 11 year round beers including Hopadilla IPA, Rodeo Clown IPA, Clutch City Lager, Love Street Blonde, Crawford Bock, Love Street Light along with several seasonal beers. Karbach Ranch Water is available in a four flavor 12 can variety pack with 3 cans each of Meyer Lemon, Original Lime, Prickly Pear, and Watermelon. They also craft Grapefruit and Spicy Mango Ranch Water which is sold in individual six packs. All of the flavors weigh in with 90 calories, 4.5% alcohol, and 2 carbs. They all are made from a purified water and cold fermented cane sugar base. Natural flavors, lime juice from concentrate, monk fruit extract, agave nectar, citric acid, and malted rice. Monk fruit extract is 150-200 times sweeter than sugar. Malted rice is an ingredient used in all of the A-B owned hard seltzers, and I have not yet found malted rice in any non A-B hard seltzer brand. Read more 
Review: Foggy Mountain Peanut Butter Whiskey
Foggy Mountain Peanut Butter Whiskey was launched August 2020. It is one of five flavored whiskeys produced by the Foggy Mountain Spirit Company in Boyne Falls Michigan. The others include Salted Caramel, Bonfire Cinnamon, Peach, and Coffee. They also produce Latitude 45 Vodka, Gin, and Rum. Foggy Mountain Peanut Butter is made with natural peanut extract. Read more
Review: Two Sisters Vodka
Two Sisters Vodka is crafted from organic wheat and pure unprocessed water drawn from a underground spring, 600 feet deep in the foothills of the Adirondack Mountains at the Springbrook Hollow Farm Distillery located five miles from Lake George New York. They grind the grain themselves and small batch triple distill on a custom German built Copper Kothe still. Prior to bottling the spirit passes through a charcoal filter bed. The Springbrook Hollow Farm Distillery opened their doors December 2014 and they currently also craft bourbon, rye, gin, moonshine and several liqueurs. Read more
Review: Topo Chico Margarita Hard Seltzer Variety Pack
Topo Chico joins Truly and Corona with the launch of their margarita style hard seltzer. Agave has become a popular ingredient in seltzers that can be categorized into four categories. First there were seltzers like Funky Buddha, Mas Agave, and Cacti that were made with agave nectar. Next came seltzers made with tequila like Onda, Mico, Chido, and Mamitas. A third type is Ranch Water seltzers. Some like Painted Donkey are made with tequila, some like Lone River, Texas Ranch Water Co. and Dos Equis with agave nectar. Margarita Style is the latest style. Like the Original Topo Chico Hard Seltzer, it is produced by Molson Coors in partnership with Coca-Cola Company. Coca-Cola acquired the Topo Chico brand in 2017. Top Chico Margarita Hard Seltzer is made from a sugar alcohol base, with filtered carbonated water, lime juice from concentrate, agave syrup, sucralose, natural flavors, and minerals for taste. Battlefield Vodka is made from 100% locally grown white corn. It is distilled six times. Battlefield is named to honor the Battle of Gettysburg and is crafted at Old Republic Distillery. The Nutrl Lemonade Variety Pack is now available. This is the follow up to the Nutrl Real Fruit Variety Pack. It is sold by Anheuser Busch in a four flavor 8 can pack. Each 12 oz. slim can weighs in with 100 calories and 4.5% alcohol. Unlike the other hard lemonade seltzers on the market today Nutrl Lemonade is made from a vodka base instead of a sugar alcohol base. Review: The Butterfly Cannon Silver Cristalino Tequila
The Butterfly Cannon Silver Cristalino Tequila was created by the team at Biggar & Leith, owned by Mark Teasdale and the Founder of Malfy Gin, Elwyn Gladstone. It was launched in the UK September 2021 and was recently released in the US. This is one of three tequila’s in The Butterfly Cannon family of tequilas. The others include Blue, a silver tequila infused with prickly pear, and clementine with a natural blue color, and Rosa, a silver tequila infused with Mexican Pink Grapefruit Peel. Butterfly Cannon is named for the migration Monarch Butterflies take traveling through the US via Texas and into Northern Mexico where they winter in trees for around 5 months. It is one of over 150 brands of tequila produced at Destilador del Valle de Tequila. Some of the other tequilas crafted here include Cincoro, Sparkle Donkey, Siempre, Hussong’s, and Casa Maestri. The hand harvested 100% agave is grown for 7-8 years and baked in traditional steam ovens. Once distilled the tequila rests for 30 days in American oak barrels before being charcoal filtered. A portion of their profits help support butterfly conservation across the US and Mexico. Read more
Review: Corona Hard Seltzer Berry Mix Pack
Corona launched their Corona Hard Seltzer March 2020. They followed that up with a second 4 flavor 12 can variety pack March 2021. Since then they have released Corona Limonada Hard Seltzer. They recently updated their Variety Pack 1 and 2. The newly minted mix packs include 6 new flavors. Only Raspberry and Blackberry Lime remain from their original eight flavors. While the original eight flavors weighed in with 90 calories and 0 sugar and 0 carbs, the six new editions contain 100 calories with 2-3 sugar grams and carbs. Read more

Truly Wild Berry is one of three vodka’s developed in a collaboration between Truly’s parent company, Boston Beer Works, and Beam Suntory. The others include Strawberry Lemonade, and Pineapple Mango. These three blends are among Truly’s most popular hard seltzer flavors. The vodka is made from 100% corn, and is triple distilled. Truly is blended and bottled at the same Frankfort Kentucky distillery Pinnacle is produced.
