Review: Travis Hasse Cow Pie Liqueur

Travis Hasse Cow Pie Liqueur was released September 2012.  It joined their previously released Apple Pie and Cherry Pie Liqueurs.  All three are made by the Travis Hasse Distillery in Waunekee Wisconsin.  At launch Cow Pie was made with neutral grain spirits.  Today TH Cow Pie Liqueur is made with Chocolate, Caramel, Vanilla, Wisconsin Dairy Cream and Rum.  It is bottled at 30 proof.It pours to a caramel influence chocolate milk color.  The aroma is chocolate, brown sugar, caramel, and cream.  The sweet chocolate and cream entry is thick and creamy.  Vanilla flavor arrives at the midpoint.  It fades with nutmeg, caramel, and rum flavor, and finishes with a mild burn and butterscotch taste.  If you liked the original TH Cow Pie Liqueur made with neutral grain spirits, you should be happy to hear the new recipe, made with rum and Wisconsin dairy cream, tastes even better.
