Review: Tippy Cow Orange Rum Cream

by Jeff Ellingson

Tippy cow orange rum creamTippy Cow Orange Rum Cream is one of four Caribbean Rum Creams that were introduced by Midwest Custom Bottling in February 2014.  This is the group behind the wildly successful Rum Chata.  It is made in Pewaukee Wisconsin with fresh Wisconsin Dairy Cream, Caribbean Rum, natural flavors and artificial colors, and packaged in a quart milk style glass bottle at 14% alcohol.  In case the name doesn’t give the flavor away, the orange creamsicle pictured on the label is a clue. The aroma is orange and rum.  It pours to an orange creamsicle color.  In my mouth the feel is creamy but not thick.  The initial orange sherbet flavor fades with some mild rum and orange citrus notes.  Drink this straight, on the rocks, or in a frozen cocktail.  You wont be disappointed.
