Review: Three Olives Whipped Cream Vodka

by Jeff Ellingson

three olives whipped cream - CopyThree Olives Whipped Cream vodka was introduced in 2012.  It is made with English winter wheat and water from Lake Vyrnmy in Wales that is quadruple distilled and triple filtered through charcoal.  Artificial whipped cream flavor is added in Lawrenceburg Indiana where it is bottled at 35% alcohol.  It was originally sold in a shiny silver bottle designed to resemble a can of whipped cream.  Their new bottle is pictured to the right. In the bottle the aroma is vanilla and vodka.  Poured in my glass opens up more whipped cream scents.  In my mouth the feel is slightly syrupy.  The flavor is sweet whipped cream fading with a mild mouth warming.  Additional sips bring out notes of vanilla and a hint of nuttiness with some vodka flavor.  The overall taste is a little artificial but this is a vodka that performs well on the rocks, as a shot or mixed in a cocktail.
