Stoli Citros vodka was introduced June 2003. It is one of 17 vodka flavors Stoli crafts with winter wheat and pure Artesian well water. It is triple distilled and then filtered four times through quartz, Siberian birch, quartz again, and finally a tightly woven cloth. Natural citrus flavor is infused prior to the final filtration.The aroma is fresh lemon and lime zest. The initial limeade flavor is joined by lemonade. There is a hint of whipped cream taste that takes the edge of the natural tart flavor. The intensity of the lemon and lime build to a tart citrus peak. As the flavor fades a peppery sting arrives which also brings some heat, before a long lemon and lime zest and mineral tasting finish. Stoli Citrus has a very nice initial taste which was neither too sweet or tart, but the finish, which does soften several sips into my drink, may be a little too much for some to enjoy on the rocks. For those Stoli Citros does mix well in cocktails.
