Review: Sobieski Karamel Vodka

by Jeff Ellingson

Sobieski Karamel - CopySobieski Karamel vodka was introduced in August 2010.  It is one of twelve flavors made in Starogard Odanski Poland with Dankowski rye and crystalline water from Oligogne springs.  It is continuously distilled before natural flavors are added. The aroma is warm melted caramel.  The flavor is caramel with a hint of vanilla and salt.  While this is a caramel flavored vodka I don’t feel it is over sweetened.  As the flavor fades I pick up some vodka notes and a mild to medium mouth warming with a dry caramel finish.
