Pickers Original Vodka was introduced earlier this year along with a Blueberry and Blood Orange flavored vodka. They are created at the Speakeasy Spirits Distillery located in the historic west town neighborhood of Nashville Tennessee. Pickers vodka is crafted with non GMO corn that is distilled 11 times in a 32 foot state of the art Vendome column still that features 48 plates to remove impurities. Once distilled the vodka is filtered four times and then blended with pure Tennessee limestone water.The aroma is corn distilled vodka with vanilla and a fruit backing. The sweet creamy vanilla entry is joined by blueberry and grape flavor. At the midpoint butterscotch flavor arrives. As the flavor fades a peppery sting arrives before a dry salty mineral finish. This is one of the best tasting unflavored vodka’s I’ve tried, but served straight, the finish might be a little too peppery and salty for some.
